Nished is local-first by design. Your tasks, reminders, streaks, and settings live exclusively on your device. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no servers collecting your data.

1. Data We Collect

Nothing. Nished does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, device identifiers, or usage analytics. The app operates entirely offline and requires no sign-up.

2. Where Your Data Lives

All task data—schedules, priorities, alarms, recurrence rules, XP, streaks, quest progress, and preferences—is stored in a SQLite database on your device. No data ever leaves your device.

3. Permissions

Nished requests device permissions solely to provide its core scheduling and notification features. None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data.

3.1 Android

Permission	Why It's Needed
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM	To fire task reminders at the precise time you set, even when the device is idle.
USE_EXACT_ALARM	Elevated scheduling capability to ensure time-critical reminders are never delayed by battery optimization.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS	To display task reminder notifications on your device (required on Android 13+).
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED	To re-register scheduled reminders after your device restarts, so you never miss a notification.
WAKE_LOCK	To briefly wake the device screen when a high-priority alarm fires, ensuring you see the reminder.
VIBRATE	To enable vibration feedback for notifications when you've chosen that preference.

3.2 iOS

Permission	Why It's Needed
Notifications	To display task reminders and alarms at the times you schedule, with the alert sounds and badges you've chosen. Requested the first time you set a reminder; you can change it anytime in Settings.

That's the only iOS permission Nished asks for. It never requests access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data.

4. Audio & Media

Nished includes optional in-app sounds (check-off effects, level-up fanfares, alarm tones). These are local audio assets bundled with the app. No audio is recorded, accessed from your device, or transmitted.

5. Third-Party Services

Nished does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or cloud services. The app does not use any SDKs that collect or share data.

6. Children's Privacy

Nished does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is a general-purpose task scheduler with no social features, chat, or communication capabilities.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how Nished handles data, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised. Because the app is local-only, material changes are unlikely.
